In a place high up North, so high you barely see someone. That’s where the huskies run, that’s where you meet ‘The Riders of the Arctic’.

    HISTORY A long time ago, huskies became an important part of mankind’s history. At that time science wasn’t advanced enough to compete with the freezing temperatures and high amount of snow . During the winter months, many cities were completely cut off from civilisation. Huskies are dog breeds specially bred to survive in these circumstances. By dogsled they helped mankind to transport goods and people. Bound between the musher and it’s team   FINNMARKSLOPET Once a year, in the North of Norway, in a city named Alta, lays the start line of the biggest husky race of Europe. An event where hundreds of huskies run by dogsled about 1000 km through the Arctic.
